looking forward to another year of reading your writing! <3 I think my word for 2025 is persist lol. I am an Aries = spark and fizzle. (almost) three years ago I said, "I'll write a novel in a year!" haha. I did get my first draft after the 1.5-year mark but going into the third year I want to finish the final draft!!!

Marissa -- you have been the biggest cheerleader and most wonderous friend. I'm so lucky New York bought me YOU! I can't wait to read all you write too, plus more of The Precipe x My talented queen! I love Persist ... and wait why are Spark and Fizzle kind of good words too? Lol. You're the best! And more writing days so we can finish your novel!

Reorient - 2025 will be a year of transition as I face retirement and transition into a new phase of life.

REORIENT!!! This is so good, Dana! I'm obsessed! What a wonderful hopeful yet grounded word. I know it's going to be an excellent era for you. I'll be thinking about ya in this transition!

Those glass straws are delightful! (Delight was my WOY for 2024 and I LOVE using it often!)

DELIGHT! I'm obsessed, Naomi! That's such a joyful one. Do you know your word for 2025 yet?

Not yet. Here's the contenders:

- Resourced

- Myriad

- Latibulate (to hide or seek refuge, often to protect oneself from threats or to find solace in a safe space. It can also mean to recognize the importance of rest to prepare for what's ahead)

- Astonishment

(do you have your WOY for 2025 yet?)

OH MY GOODNESS! Which to choose?! These are all so good. Resourced really caught my eye. I like words that can mean so many things and more than meets the eye. You're so cool. I know whatever you choose is going to be a good word/year!

I'm thinking "Creativity," riding the waves of this year, but also applying it to other areas of my life (Creativity in time management, ways to be less stressed, happier, etc.). But "Rooted" popped into my head on a walk the other day and I can't stop thinking about it!

oooooh - those are both excellent. I've chosen my word(s) and will be sharing them soooooon (but I'll tell you: astonishment, with a dash of latibulate)

It never ends. My mom suggested “release” and now I’m rethinking everything…hahahaha. Prepare to be astonished!!!!
